The Oxford University Press defines global marketing as “marketing on a worldwide scale reconciling or taking commercial advantage of global operational differences, similarities and opportunities in order to meet global objectives.” Global marketing is not a revolutionary shift but it is an evolutionary process as is mostly applicable to the domestic companies. A domestic company has to only worry about the domestic competition, even if the competition is from foreign still it is forced to concentrate only on its home market. The biggest disadvantage of these companies is that they are not aware of the market outside their region and so they are unaware of a potential competitor.
